As you leave Hanmer Springs New Zealand and just before heading through the lewis Pass (which in itself is a stunning road trip that takes you to the West Coast of the South Island) the scenery for this acrylic painting titled "Beyond Hanmer" can be found.

General Information About Hanmer SpringsHanmer Springs is located just north of Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand. Primarily visited for its thermal pools, Hanmer Springs has developed around an alpine hotspot with many activities for the outdoor types. These activities include jet boating, bungee jumping, 4wd quad biking, mountain biking, horse trekking, white water rafting, fly fishing and so much more.There are also plenty of bush walks near by, but if you just want to sit back and take it easy then the town, which is very pleasant and picturesque with a good range of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops, is the place to be.
